It’s Dads 1st birthday since his passing so I want to do a ‘Forget You Not’ event in remembrance of him.
Dad recently died from gastro oesophageal junction cancer and received outstanding care from St Richards Hospice specialist Community Nursing Team that provided a service available to him 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
They were experts in their field which is why doing this event feels.
LandsEndtoJohnO’Groats.co.uk says as crows fly the distance is 603 miles so it might take me a few weeks on my Wahoo Kickr and Zwift!
It’ll take a lot of hard work, sweat and I’m sure hardcore painful bits, but it will be worth every pedal to raise funds for St Richards to thank them for the expert care and support dad and we received.
I’ll take several pictures as the weeks go on, showing the pain etched on my face and hope it brings a giggle and smile as it would have my dad!
Thank you for reading about dads remembrance event. Please encourage me as much as possible and if you are able to, please donate.
